Registration for the 2024 Spring Season is now OPEN!
IMPORTANT: Please read the below registration details and instructions before registering online. Then click the Programs tab at the top of this page and select the team that you would like to register for to complete your online registration and payment.
LIGHTNING: (Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grade): registration fee is $75. Registration includes a reversible one-size-fits-all practice pinny. In general, our Lightning Program meets every Saturday morning (typically 9:00-10:00 am) from late March to Early June (Weather permitting). In addition to the Saturday practices, players MAY have games / scrimmages against surrounding communities if development and skill allows.
BANTAM (3rd and 4th grades), JUNIOR (5th and 6th grades), and SENIOR (7th and 8th grades): registration fee is $185. In general, the season runs from approximately mid-March (weather and fields permitting) through mid-June. Teams meet on average 3 to 4 times per week for practices, games, and tournaments.
Important Uniform Information: when you register, you will be asked if a uniform is needed. If your player has a "new" Newington Youth Lacrosse Uniform (Colors: navy and gold), it can be used for the upcoming season. If a uniform is needed, follow the prompts to order. At this time, we are unable to order jerseys and shorts separately. The cost for a new uniform is $60. Please be sure to a jersey size and short size. Please use the Uniform Sizing Chart when making your selections.
LIGHTNING PLAYERS DO NOT NEED TO PURCHASE A UNIFORM
When registration closes, we place our uniform order for the season. If you decide to cancel your player’s registration after February 9th, and you purchased a uniform, you will be refunded your registration fee minus the uniform cost of $60 per player.
ALL Players are REQUIRED to purchase a US Lacrosse Membership (not provided):
For players new to Newington Youth Lacrosse: Follow the prompts to register.
For Returning Players: you will be asked to provide your US Lacrosse Member ID. If you have it, continue to register. If not, follow the prompts to recover your username and password. You will need the email address that you used to register your player for the 2023 season. If that email no longer exists, you must contact US Lacrosse at 410-235-6882 ext. 102 to reset your information. If all else fails, please contact a NYL board member.
EQUIPMENT: For all levels, parents are responsible for all player equipment. The equipment that is needed is listed under "Programs" on each teams page.
